FAQs

  • We do welcome drop ins, but strongly encourage you to sign up online so we can ensure classes are held. We are a small studio and make class decisions based on pre-registration in order to determine whether we can hold a class. Please check the schedule an hour prior to any class you plan to drop in for ensure it is still being held.

Online registration also ensures that you have a spot due to times when we have limited space. It is recommended that you pre-register to ensure you have a spot in class and that we can notify you if classes are cancelled.

If classes are full, you will have the option to join our wait list. Pre-registration may be required on select classes. Please check class and event descriptions to determine if drop in is available.

In the event you drop in and class is full, you will be welcome to wait to see if anyone who pre-registered is a no show. We will do our best to get you a space, however, please understand we keep class sizes limited to ensure a safe and comfortable experience for all.

All class registrations can be made on Union.Fit or by registering through our website here.

We do reserve the right to cancel any classes, special events, or series based on attendance numbers. Please make sure to register online for any class you plan to attend so we have an accurate accounting of planned participants.

  • If you are attempting to register and having trouble, please check the following items:

-If you are prompted that an email is already on file for you please follow “forgot password” steps. This happens if you visited the studio as a drop in and did not create your account after receiving our welcome email.

-Double check your email. If you create an account online or in the studio, this will be the associated email. If there was a typo or you are trying to log in with a different email it will not recognize your purchases. Please reach out to verify what email the studio has on file.

If you need further assistance please text 937-507-8266.

  • You have one hour before the start of class to cancel your reservation.

A $10 few will be charged if you fail to cancel your class before the one hour window.

Unlimited members can cancel anytime before the start of class, however, a $10 fee will still be applied for no-shows.

Please note that you must cancel online. Texting, calling, or emailing the studio or teacher will not remove your registration.

Further, if you have a card on file that has insufficient funds for a no show fee the following policy will be in place:

-We will remove a credit from your class pass

-We will pause your membership until your card is updated.

  • There are many types of yoga practice and the classes we offer are suitable for most practitioners.

However, it is always helpful to read the class descriptions listed on the website.

If you have any joint or mobility concerns that interrupt your ability to get up and down from the mat, you are trying to learn, or want deeper stress relief many people find our Gentle, Chair, and Yin classes most accessible.

If you want to move your body a bit faster and would like to build strength and endurance from bodyweight and weight bearing postures you may enjoy Aroma Flow or Vinyasa.

If you are brand new to yoga we encourage you to try every class, but also want you to understand that Yoga styles vary and it will take time to learn. We are happy to allow you to watch, learn, and do what you can. That is why yoga is always referred to as a “practice”. None of our classes have a hierarchy, they are designed to meet your specific individual needs. All yoga can decrease stress and help to build a stronger, more flexible mind and body.

You are also welcome to reach out to us directly here at Sukha Inspired Yoga with any questions or concerns you might have. We would be happy to help guide you.

  • Some students prefer athletic leisure wear for more active classes, and some students prefer loose, comfortable clothing for more gentle classes.

Yoga is practiced barefoot (except during Chair Yoga), but some people wear sticky/grippy socks. It is best to avoid wearing jeans or dress pants for class since you need to be able to move freely.

Avoid strong perfumes and deodorants to honor other students sensitivities.

A bottle for water is a good idea. A water fountain is available at the space should you need it.

Please bring a mat and any other props you would like.

Bolsters, mats, blocks, and straps are available to borrow on site as well.

  • We encourage you to practice as often as possible! However, it has been noted that regular practice of 3-5 times a week is optimal for the most benefit to body and overall well-being.

  • Yoga is many things, but a literal meaning of the word is "Union, or To Yoke". Essentially, it is a collection of ancient wisdom and practices that help us to connect to our mind, body, spirit. Yoga practice is in its infancy here in the West and much of the current practices have centered around Asana (Physical Poses) combined with meditation, mindfulness, and body awareness. Yoga continues to evolve, but it's core truth is that we are divine beings living through a human experience. Yoga helps us navigate this experience from a more graceful and enlightened place. The Bhagavad Gita states "Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self."

  • Yoga is an ancient practice. Yoga has a rich and vast history with roots and teachings from many different cultures, religions, practices, and texts. However, Sukha Inspired Yoga is not affiliated with any specific religion or faith and observes Yoga as a philosophy. We welcome all backgrounds, cultures, races, and faiths. Our goal at Sukha is to help others unify mind, body, and spirit so they can connect to their best selves. We embrace and support that every individual's path to their best selves will manifest in their own unique way. Bottom line is that everyone is welcome, and we will meet you where you are without any pressure to adhere to any type of thinking or belief.

  • Please arrive 10-15 min early to allow adequate time to get settled in. When you arrive you will be expected to take your shoes off in the reception area before entering the class (Chair Class participants can leave shoes on). Cell phones should be silenced and kept in the reception area. Doors will be locked at the start of class for security. Typically, upon entering the yoga room, talking should be kept to a minimum, and voices should be kept low to respect other students who may be settling in. Once class begins, should you need to leave the Yoga room, just be mindful of others by being quiet. Please plan to attend the entire class. Should you need to leave early, please let the teacher know so they are aware. During final Savasana (rest at the end of class), please do your best to avoid getting up or leaving the room. This prevents distracting or startling other students.
