MAGGIE KIEDROWSKi
I have been practicing yoga for 10 years now. I completed my 200 hours of yoga teacher training at Day Yoga Studio in Dayton in 2022. I became certified to teach Oncology Yoga through yoga4cancer (y4c) in 2023 while dealing with my own breast cancer diagnosis and treatments.
Yoga4Cancer is an evidence-informed yoga method specifically tailored to address the physical and emotional needs of those touched by cancer. Yoga has helped me in countless ways since my cancer diagnosis. It has helped keep my stress and anxiety about the future under control, helped me to breathe through many difficult moments, given me a way to reconnect and accept my body after a disfiguring surgery, cope with many uncomfortable and painful side effects and build back strength, flexibility and balance post treatments. It has also brought so many women walking this same path into my life. I am excited to share what I have learned, and introduce yoga to other individuals dealing with a cancer diagnosis.
When I'm not on my yoga mat, I can be found hiking or biking with my husband Mark, and our two children, buying all the plants and making all the things.
