I have been practicing various forms of yoga, movement, and breathwork for almost ten years now as a means of supporting chronic pain issues. Since then, I have learned many things about what Yoga is and what it is not. Both to me as an individual, and to my community. After moving to Dayton in 2019 I made an effort to focus more heavily on deepening my own practice as well as exploring movement in general. After witnessing the value this was having on my mental wellbeing I decided to keep riding the wave and start my teaching journey.
My classes tend to be more freely moving vinyasas where exploration is always encouraged. Pace is usually a 'slow burn' style with a focus on the journey not the destination. Literally! Transitions are drawn out and emphasized more than individual postures.
