How has yoga impacted your life both on and off the mat?
I learned different breathing techniques and how to listen to my body. This is critical on and off the mat. I am able to conquer daily activities, sleep well at night and get the most out of my practice. As a pickleball player, I've had my share of sore muscles, joint pains and stiffness. Yoga, on a regular basis, has minimized and in some cases eliminated my body aches. It has elevated my game by improving my physical agility, balance and strength.
What advice would you give someone who is new to yoga or considering starting a practice?
I highly recommend yoga from a yoga studio! The atmosphere and experience guides you to a deeper connection with your body. The benefits are immeasurable. Yoga for Life
What initially drew you to yoga and how has your practice evolved since then?
My Healthcare provider recommended yoga for better sleep and stress management. I had never practiced yoga so my first challenge was finding a location. My search didn't last long because I received an advertisement in the mail of a new yoga studio nearby.
I purchased the new student special so I could try a variety of classes and it was unlimited. My once a week practice evolved to 3-4 times a week.
