What advice would you give someone who is new to yoga or considering starting a practice?

My advice to any person trying yoga would be to go slow watch people in the class, there are many options for movements and do what is comfortable.  Skip the hard stuff in the beginning and build up to those movements.  Not only will it show your growth in yoga but give you confidence to keep growing and practicing.

In what ways do you see yoga continuing to play a role in your future?

As a runner, one of the main reasons I started yoga was to help build muscle, stretch and active recovery.  I can not see a day that yoga would no longer be in my life, it helps strengthen my body and my mind.  Yoga provides peace in my soul.

“A single act of kindness throws out roots in all directions, and the roots spring up and make new trees.” ~Amelia Earhart

What initially drew you to yoga and how has your practice evolved since then?

Are there any specific yoga poses or practices that have been particularly transformative for you?

Tree pose is one of my favorite poses, I feel it creates balance and strength in the body. Since I started Sukha I have gained balance, strength and my mental health has improved.
